Workers compensation is designed to help workers who have been injured on the job. In the United States today, if you are injured on your job, whether it’s your fault or not, you are entitled to workers compensation benefits. In the three jurisdictions that we serve, Maryland, Virginia and D.C, an injured worker is entitled to receive a portion of his/her salary and payment of medical bills. The law of each jurisdiction requires an employer to provide workers compensation insurance coverage. A failure by the employer to do so could result in a serious fine and or the loss of a license to do business.
